Opinion - Syndicalists Push to Denounce the Crown

Logo of the National Union of Syndicalists

During the most recent Parliamentary Session, the National Union of Syndicalists presented legislation demanding the denouncement and removal of the Westminster Crown and appeals to the Queen of England.

This proposal was met with an uproar from members of parliament, most voting ‘no’ long in advance of the actual vote.

For weeks before the general election, the NUS had been vocal about their disdain for the crown and West Canada’s fetishization of Westminster. The NUS seeks to pursue a full market syndicalist economy with a proper republic being established as opposed to the Constitutional Monarchy that is in place of West Canada’s parliament.

“This is only the beginning of a long path to a revolution of the common folks and their rightful desires.” -Head of the NUS.

It is unsure what the future of the NUS in parliament may hold, but as of right now they remain a 1 seated minority party; however their numbers slowly grow by the day.

Vancouver Island Situation Resolved: False Dominion Finally Relents

Last night at 9:54 PM the "Dominion of Vancouver Island" twitter account released the following announcement:     This announcement came as no surprise to those who had been following the situation involving the West Canada defence of the Vancouver Island Province. The false Dominion had asserted for a long time their legitimacy, throughout constant instability, mergers, and dissolutions, however this one is bound to be the last. Following the announcement the Dominion of Vancouver Island twitter account also deleted several tweets which paint their character for what it truly is.     Several theories have arose regarding the "new state" mentioned in the post, with some being a revival of the Vancouver Island Soviet Socialist Republic, or perhaps another try at one of the many other micronations founded by Dustin Carlson, the "Governor General" of Vancouver Island. Time will have to tell in which direction they go from here, but no doubt it will be ri

Runaway Cow in Shawsburg County returned Home safe

Earlier today around 10 AM MST a cow had escaped from Lenz Farm, a ranch located nearby Coalhurst in Shawsburg County. After breaking out of its pen at the Lenz Farm the cow followed the Alberta 25 for roughly a kilometre until it reached the rail and decided to follow that instead. The cow followed the rail line for an additional 3 kilometres before it reached the outskirts of Coalhurst.      Several good samaritans attempted to intercept the bovine after it had been spotted, but it avoided them and escaped further. These Samaritans searched Miner’s Park for the cow, but could not locate the animal. The search party then returned home, thinking that they had lost track of the cow. However, they spotted it in a citizen’s yard, and some members of the search party went up the Kipp Highway to catch the cow on the other side. A standoff with the cow ensued while the party called for assistance and got into contact with the owner of the bovine. The route the cow was believed to have t

Turmoil in Vancouver Island: The Dissolution of The Dominion and The International Response

The Dominion of Vancouver Island is now defunct, as of April 28th, reports say. For the past few months, the political status of the Island has been unstable, with multiple changes in government, all from various ideological perspectives.      On April 29th, the Commonwealth of British Dominions released an official statement acknowledging the dissolution and further recognizing the claim of the Dominion of West Canada over Vancouver Island. This was met with support by some of our allies, such as the Dominion of Vancouver Island, yet also with condemnation from some, such as President Titania Smith of the Greater Cascadian Republic. President Smith went as far as to suggest that the recognition of the claim was "fascistic."      It seems that the dissolution is coinciding with a potential resurrection of the Vancouver Island Soviet Socialist Republic (VISSR), a state not recognized by either the Dominion of West Canada or the Commonwealth of British Dominions.      In r
